I feel that as a woman and a mother it is my duty to reach out and make a difference in women’s lives. As Avon’s Global Ambassador, I’ve been honored to have an active role in empowering women and raising awareness for important causes that affect females from around the world, including being part of the global mission to end violence against women. I find it shocking that one billion women globally – that is one in every three women – are affected by violence at some point in their lives. That’s a statistic we must try to change.
